  • Development, enhancement, maintenance and production support of day-to-day retail banking and cards operations.
  • It was multi year engagement.

RoleDescription

Senior Developer:

  • Led KT (Knowledge Transfer) phase for 6 months in Johannesburg, SA. Performed system study of technological (framework) and functional modules of the HOGAN platform.
  • Led and hands-on development, enhancement and production support of applications suite in offshore (Calcutta).

Architecture / Technology

HOGAN was originally developed by HOGAN Incorporation (Dallas, Texas, USA). At present it is owned by DXC Technologies. It was built on IBM Mainframe, MVS, Hierarchical database IMS and COBOL. Its comprised of two parts; technological framework and business modules based on the technological framework.

Development / Engineering

Worked on development, enhancement, maintenance and production support of HOGAN. Had been on client site (ABSA, Johannesburg) deputation for six months for Knowledge Transfer (KT) of HOGAN system. Interacted with ABSA development and business teams for acquiring and transferring functional and technical knowledge of HOGAN from client to off-shore project team in India (Calcutta), which was instrumental in continuation of project thereafter from offshore (Calcutta). Worked on all phases of SDLC for medium and large enhancements and L3 production support.
